Musical Entertainment by Scott Brooks
I call it a trio because you get the sense of a jazz trio even though only one performer is on stage. I create musical backgrounds in my home studio over which I sing and play -- live -- in my performances.
I draw inspiration from the music of the Great American Songbook -- Cole Porter, Gershwin, Johnny Mercer -- but there's no limit to the variety you'll hear during the show from Jobim to Jack Johnson, Leon Russell, Donald Fagan, Eric Clapton and many others. Great, popular music lives in every decade from the 1920s to today.
